Auto Body Repair Testimonial from Mark & Nancy Sprenger

Service Used: Auto Body Repair

Client location: Snowmass

Testimonial highlights: Speedy repair, very reasonable price

Wanted to drop a note to you telling you how pleased we are with the service we received at High Tone Auto Body. We drove from Ohio to visit our grandchildren in Snowmass.

We were two weeks in Snowmass and during our stay we were hit in the rear end while at a red light. We took the car at High Tone who immediately took care of our problem. The cost of the repair was extremely reasonable and fixed in a timely manner.

It allowed us to drive back to Ohio with the peace of mind knowing that our car can safely make it back, some 1280 miles.

Thanks again
Mark & Nancy Sprenger

The Basalt/Aspen/Snowmass area is quite popular for tourists and we do get to see many people coming in to visit their families here. These people spend hours on end driving for hundreds of miles to get to our area, and we at High Tone Auto Body always want to pitch in and make these people more like home. We have many cars from all over the country stop in for a quick auto body repair.

Mark and Nancy Sprenger drove all the way from Ohio to visit their family when they got hit in the back while at a red light. You can only imagine how it feels to be 1200 miles away from home and to be in a car accident. When the Sprengers drove in, our staff was very sensible and sensitive to their situation and we made sure their vehicle gets repaired as soon as possible so that Mark and Nancy can make the long drive home.

Unlike many car repair shops, we did not take advantage of Mark and Nancy’s situation. We made an express repair and billed the usual fee for that sort of work. Our team is highly ethical and sensible, and this is what sets us apart from our competition.

Honda CR-V Collision Repair: Rear Bumper, Tailgate & Rear Stop Lights

Collisions in the Aspen-Snowmass-Basalt area are quite common especially during the snow season. Any kind of accident can be stressful for the vehicle owner and it is even more stressful when you cannot find a reliable auto body repair service.
High Tone Auto Body is focused on getting you the best possible auto body repair service and we have served countless clients from Aspen, Snowmass, Carbondale, Basalt etc.
Recently a Honda CRV owner stopped by the shop. The vehicle was in a relatively small collision but the damage wasn’t that small.

As you can see from the images here this Honda CRV had plenty of damage:

  • the roof had some minor bumps and scratches
  • the rear stop light needed replacement
  • rear bumper was broken on one side
  • the tailgate was deformed

Our technicians follow an industry-specific repair workflow to ensure proper auto body repair so the vehicle can be as safe and nice looking as before the collision.
Here, we started by removing the tailgate from the vehicle and our auto body specialists worked on restoring the geometry and look of the back side of the car. After the repairs on the door frame and roof we had the area repainted with a few coats of paint and clear coat.

Bumpers are composite parts, and in this particular case the plastic shielding took most of the impact and was broken. When the plastic shielding is broken we replace the entire bumper because bumpers act as safety buffer zones, protecting people in the vehicle, as well as people around the vehicle (bumpers are designed to cushion pedestrians in case if they are in a car accident). The new bumper also got a coat of paint and a coat of protective clear coat.

The rear stop lights on Honda CR-V’s are positioned relatively high, so the only damaged part was the outer glass. We replaced the rear stop light with a new one and did all the necessary wiring checking to make sure that everything works as it should.

While one team did work on the vehicle itself, another team did the needed body work and paint on the tailgate. With the tailgate repaired, our technicians assembled the Honda CR-V and the owner was quite pleased with the quality of work and timely repair.

Testimonial for Subaru Collision Repair

From: Robin Scarlett
Service Used: Auto Body Repair

Testimonial:
I had a great experience getting my Subaru repaired after an accident. My car looked as good as new. The people at High Tone were all friendly and helpful, and provided service above and beyond the usual. I would refer this shop to anybody.

Robin had an accident with her Subaru while driving around Snowmass, CO. Thankfully, the collision was not severe so the only damage was around the front bumper and hood area. Nobody was hurt in the accident.

Robin came in with her Subaru to first get an estimate, and then had us repair her vehicle. While the repair technicians were working on the auto body repairs, Tanja took care of the insurance claim with Robin’s insurance company. Thanks to our Direct Repair Program, Robin did not have to do any paperwork. We handled it all for her.

The vehicle needed a new front bumper and some body work on the hood. Technicians also replaced one headlamp and after the repair and paint, we gave the vehicle a full-body detailing.

During the entire repair process we kept Robin in the know, and Tanja did a great job communicating details that helped Robin be at peace while our certified auto body repair technicians worked on her car. As always, we used original replacement parts and used factory specs to perform this repair.

All in all, Robin was very pleased with the complete service, from handling the insurance paperwork to making her Subaru look as good as new.

Bear Break-In Car Interior Repair Aspen, CO.

Animal encounters are quite often, and in some cases these encounters sound a bit strange…but this is only a reminder that wildlife acts unpredictably and we should be careful in how we leave our vehicles, and what we leave in them.

Below is a series of photos from a damage done by a small bear that somehow got locked inside a Honda SUV and did considerable damage on the interior. Luckily, nobody was hurt and the bear had left the car by the time its owners returned.

As you can see from the images, the bear that got stuck in the vehicle did quite a bit of damage.

On the back seat the bear did some damage on the seats themselves, broke off some trimming in the boot area, took off some plastic panels in the passenger area and broke off the sun roof. Also, it marked the vehicle with its poop in the boot area to make things even worse.

The vehicle needed some replacement plastic trimmings, some parts for the sun roof, and a complete interior detailing to get the bad odor out.

Usually, bears get close to vehicles if they smell food. Bears have excellent sense of smell and nothing gets by them. To avoid bear encounters like this one, make sure your vehicle is clean of any kind of food:

  • Don’t leave wrapped/unopened food in the car like candy or crackers, bears can smell them
  • Take the food out of the glove compartment and other storage spaces in your vehicles
  • Make sure there are no larger chunks of food or wrappings of food lying on the floor
  • Remove any used bottles from juices, milk and any other sweet beverages
